May 12, 2008 – Due to regulatory requirements and rapidly increasing population diversity, translation in the health care industry is in high demand. In an effort to meet that demand, Avantpage co-sponsors with Hispano Language Advisory and ProZ the “Translation for Health Care: Seminar & Workshop" on May 17, 2008, in Córdoba, Argentina. The event is designed to educate translators and editors about the unique requirements and language needs of the health care industry. Attendees to “Translation for Health Care” will: learn about the health care system in the United States; understand the legislation involved; the populations affected; and the roles and objectives of health care companies.
The event also features an intensive workshop that covers common errors in health care translation, specific client preferences and regional differences among the Hispanic populations.
