Avantpage Celebrates Its 15th Anniversary
In 1996, Dr. Miguel, CEO, founded Avantpage, combining his love of linguistics, technological expertise, and entrepreneurial spirit. The company's mission was then--and still is--to use translation to bridge cultures, connect communities, celebrate differences, and enhance global communication. According to Dr. Miguel, “Fifteen years ago, only a handful of larger organizations recognized the need and value of translation as a tool to grow their businesses and expand their market share.” Translation was limited mostly to languages like Spanish, French or Italian, and non-Latin languages like Chinese or Arabic were rarely translated. Quality and consistency were haphazard at best, and many organizations were reluctant to hire translation services, believing that the cost was prohibitive.” Today, companies know that they must actively reach out to their non-English-speaking clients, communicating in their language. It’s common practice to translate a variety of government, educational, financial and legal documentation into numerous languages. Reaching out to non-English speakers is now the rule, rather than the exception, and Avantpage is on the cutting edge of translation technology, localization processes and multilingual DTP solutions. Thank you to our customers over these past 15 years for joining Avantpage on our journey bridging cultural communication both globally and locally. We look forward to moving forward together into new challenges and new opportunities.
