Senior Leadership

Luis Miguel, CEO
Born and raised in Mexico, Luis immigrated to the United States in 1979, a citizen of the world — the son of Mexican parents and grandson to Lebanese grandparents. With a PhD in computer science and as an industry expert, Luis has a deep understanding of language technologies, translation, and cross-cultural issues. He has written articles for the American Translators Association (ATA) Journal, presented talks at ATA conferences, and chaired panels for the Translation Company Division of the ATA.

Laura Kujubu, VP of Operations
Third-generation Japanese, Laura graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a degree in Mass Communications. With a background in project management at Avantpage, Laura brings that experience and knowledge into the company’s customer relations program. From the start of a project to delivery, she works closely with clients and project managers to ensure Avantpage’s high-quality service standards are aligned with your needs. Laura also manages the day-to-day operations, ensuring processes and procedures run smoothly and efficiently. 

Michael Lattif, VP of Business Development
As an executive leader with more than 20 years of marketing and business expertise, Michael develops and delivers solutions for our customers. Michael believes that as a service organization, Avantpage seeks to build and solidify long-term, productive relationships, and to integrate quality and excellent customer service into every step of our operation. He also helps all our clients understand and use Avantpage’s array of services in the most productive and cost-effective manner.

Luz Elena Videgaray, Director of Language
With a degree in translation, as well as a Masters in Applied Linguistics, Luz E. translated numerous technical, business, and legal documents for Latin American and U.S. Spanish audiences. With experience as Lead Project Manager at various translation companies, Luz E. supervises our linguistic and management team to provide translation, editing, proofreading, DTP and consulting services. She also trains and supervises staff regarding project management, including adherence to quality-assurance policies and procedures.
