October 14, 2008 – The California Department of Education (CDE) recently contracted with Avantpage for the second consecutive year to translate its School Accountability Report Card (SARC) template into Spanish.
The SARC is a required report for all K-12 public schools in California and communicates to parents, faculty and community stakeholders on student test scores, discipline data, school safety and much more. Each school must publish its SARC in English, and if 15% or more of its population uses another primary language, the SARC must also be published in that primary language.
To assist schools, the CDE provides SARC templates in several languages. Spanish is by far the most requested language, accounting for over 90% of foreign language SARC filings.
Avantpage is proud to work with the Department of Education on this important document, which keeps schools, parents and the community connected. Avantpage was selected as the Spanish SARC translation provider due to its vast experience serving the ethnic communities of California, its firm commitment to quality and service, and the accuracy of its translations.
